9 Days To GO ALL THE WAYYYYYYYY!!! - Posted: 29 Nov, 2007

Wholey Cow. I cant believe it is sooooo close. I havent been on here in about 50 days. And thought that was close. Wow, 9 days. My stomach just did flips. Aggghh.

Ok gang. So everyone will be arriving somewhere on either Tues, Dec 4th, Thurs,Dec 5th or Friday Dec 6th. I will contact each of you and tell you who to look for, bc everyone will be on flights with others from the wedding. The hub is Atlanta. So most flights, except for some in Miami, are going to Atlanta. And then from there to Liberia, Costa Rica!! From there you will be transferred via van/bus to the resort. They say it's about a 45min-hour ride. I have also heard the ride is rough, for the roads are in bad shape. So wear a blindfold. :0 So in order to get your transfer, you will need those transfer slips that were in your travel package from Stacy (the travel agent). Make sure you have those.

On Friday evening, we have a dinner scheduled for everyone at 8. Kind of like a Rehersal Dinner, without the rehersal. And Saturday is the wedding. It has been moved to 430pm. But guests need to be waiting on the beach for the wedding coordinator at 345. She is going to bring everyone to the site. All of this information will be more detailed when you get there. But we had to change the wedding times so that we could get the sunset pictures. So everyone has to be on time!!!!!!!!!!!! or else we wont get the pictures that we are paying the photographer for.

We are going to be planning a deep fishing tour on Sunday. This is going to be one of our gifts to our guests. We will be paying for this trip. If you would like to go, please let us know before Sunday, Dec 2nd. We will have to reserve 2-3 boats when we get there and will have to know in advance who is going. So if you would like to join us, please email me. Superstar121373@hotmail.com. Oh, and bring some Dramamine (anti-motion sickness).

Other than the dinner at 8, and wedding from 345-9pm, the week/weekend is yours to do what you wish. If you have any questions at all, please let us know. We are leaving on Tues, Dec 4th and will not be able to use our cell phones once we leave.

I hope everyone has safe travels and is ready to have a good...no a GREAT time!!!.

Packing Tips!! - Posted: 29 Nov, 2007

As a frequent traveller and someone who has lost their luggage before, I have some very helpful packing tips.

I think this is the 6th plane trip I have taken this year, no 7th..and 14th if you are including round trip. But from once losing my luggage and never getting it back and not being reimbursed, even 1/3 of what I lost, I have came up with packing stragtegies.

1 - Remember that you are allowed 2 carry-ons. One carry-on suitcase and another bag or back-pack. Typcially when we travel, that is all we bring. Even on our 10 day trip to Europe. We didnt check any luggage. There are some heafty delays in baggage these days and sometimes you might have to wait 2-5 days for a delayed bag. So remember this when packing your carry-on bag.

2-Your carry-on should include all of your toiletrees. You have to use a one-quart bag for any liquids. And all liquids have to be 3oz or less. If they are not, they will be taken away from you.

3- Make sure your carry-on has at least one piece of clothing for all occasions: one bathing suit, pair of shorts, pants, top, etc.

4 - If you must bring a check on bag (Can you tell that I hate checking bags??) and you're travelling with someone else, mix the bags together. For example, put a pair of your shoes in their bad and vice-versa. And the same goes with all other clothing and essentials. That way if one bag is lost, you still have some of your stuff.

I lost one of my bags years ago and it was the only bag lost on a trip, out of 3 or 4 bags. I never got it back and it was lost on the way there. So I had to replace all of my toiletrees (and that can be expensive) and lost a lot of good clothing and shoes. So pack with the intentions, that a bag might be lost. And if you are only going for the weekend, stick to your carry-ons. Remember, you can bring two..a small bag and a back-pack.

Good luck.

56 Days To Go - Posted: 13 Oct, 2007

This past week was a little chaotic.

Monday was Oct 8 and I woke up and realized that the wedding was only 8 weeks away. Aghhhhh! That is only 2 months.

Then I started to think about everything that isnt complete yet. The reception is barely planned, we dont have the contracts for the photograher yet, the lawyer is still waiting for our passports and vows, I didnt even have a veil or shoes yet. Yikes! So on Monday I thought I needed some anti-anxiety meds. Of course I didnt, I just needed to get some stuff done.

So now I have a veil, shoes, jewelry, passports have reached the lawyer (vows still arent complete, but that shouldnt be rushed, it's too important). I have an appt for my nails. I have an appt for my dress to be altered (of course it fit like a glove when I first bought it and now it needs altering). Our menu is complete..yeah!!! So I feel much better. Oh, and I picked my flowers for my bouquet. So pretty. Very bright colors, oranges, pinks, purples, some white. Great flowers for a tropical wedding. Ahhh..I can finally relax. :)

71 Days To Go!! - Posted: 28 Sep, 2007

Wow. I just signed onto this website and it says 71 days to go. 71 is pretty close to 60, which is only 8 weeks away. I cant believe it's getting so close.

Here are the updates. Most people have booked their trips already. If you havent, and you're coming, I would do it soon. The airfare costs are extremly low right now. Check them out at www.kayak.com. Such a great website. And the prices listed are the final costs, with taxes and fees included.

If you need to talk with our travel agent, her email is Goawaywithstacy@aol.com.

I have been asked about how formal the wedding is going to be and how our guests should dress. Well, it's really up to you. The ceremony is going to be held on the beach at sunset and then party/dinner to follow. If I were a female, I would either wear a light, tea-length dress, or skirt. If a male, some kacki's and collared shirt. December is their summer, so I wouldnt dress too heavy. And shoes, are optional. I would bring some for the reception following, but if you dont want to wear them on the beach, that is up to you. Tony, you better bring your dancing shoes!!! and I know you will. :)

I think that is all for now. Check out all of the pictures in our 'Galleries' section. If we are missing a picture of you, please send us one. Most of our missing pictures are due to not having them downloaded off of a digital camera.

See you soon. 71 days to be exact.

172 Days To Go!!! - Posted: 19 Jun, 2007

Hello everyone. I havent been on this site in months. Now that the wedding is getting closer, I will try and leave updates here.

So far we are looking at a guest list of 20-30 people. We are very excited and cant wait to start planning all of the details.

Yesterday I spoke with our wedding coordinator from CR and the attorney that is going to marry us. Everything is running very smoothly, so far.

As we get closer, we are going to plan some off shore excursions (ie deep-sea fishing and scuba diving). We will get a list of guests who are interested in these activities and plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please email me: superstar121373@hotmail.com

Costa Rica - Posted: 29 Aug, 2006

We are planning for a December 2007. Possibly Saturday, December 8, 2007.

We think we have picked a place. It's called Paridisus Playa Conchal in Santa Cruz, Costa Rica. This is an all-inclusive resort. Which means that your airfare, transfer from airport to hotel, hotel room, all meals, room service, snacks, adult beverages, non-motorized sports, taxes, traveller's insurance and tips...yes, I said tips are included. There are tours and off-shore excursions that are an additional fee, but you are not required to do any of them if you dont want to. There are plenty of free activies, (ie sitting at the pool bar).

Costa Rica has two seasons, winter and summer. From May to November they call it the "green" season. It was someone's nice way of saying, it rains a whole lot. Terrential rains, everyday, with only 5-6 hours of sunlight, which are usually in the mornings. They end of November and beginning of December is when the sun finally starts to shine. That is why we choose this time of year. And if we book the trip from late December thru April, the prices are DOUBLED. And we didnt think that any of you would appreciate us taking that step.

Anyway, we are really excited and hope that you are too. If you would like to check out the resort go to www.paradisusplayaconchal.com. The exact and actual prices for dec 07 will be out around february. So we can not do any bookings until then. We did get some ball park figures. If you would like to see those, please email me at superstar121373@hotmail.com.
